We offer a variety of talks, tailored to all age groups, and the opportunity to have close encounters with live animals some of which are not seen ineveryday life. The emphasis of each encounter is to encourage all present to handle the animals so that both they and the animals themselves enjoy the experience.
We can bring you fun, education, entertainment or all three!
Sessions are very popular at schools and play groups, homes for the elderly, Women’s Institutes, after school clubs, fetes and fairs, Cubs and Brownies, hospices, children’s parties and private functions. Anywhere, really, where the participants will enjoy the experience of learning about and handling different animal species. We also cater for people with disabilities.
We offer a range of animal species from snakes and bearded dragons through cockroaches and giant snails to rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. See ‘Meet The Crew’ for a full list. You are invited to choose the animals you would like at your event – 4 or 5 for a one hour encounter. If you would particularly like to see a species that we do not have ourselves we will do our best to locate an individual and bring it along – contact us with your requirements.
As well as live animals we also have some bio-facts, such as bones, skulls and skins, that are used in our talks. Some schools ask us to concentrate on parts of the national curriculum – e.g. mini beasts, the rain forest – and we are pleased to cooperate. Again, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
